Overseas Lease Group. Inc ("OLG") vehicle, equipment and turnkey camp leasing business that specializes in providing customized lease solutions to multi-national companies, government agencies, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and International Governmental Organizations (IGOs) operating in developing countries and emerging markets.
My initial focus was to develop and create logo, promotional materials, and plan two events overseas. I started with OLG as a consultant to build their brand and manage in Kenya and Geneva. Development of a corporate logo and all promotional materials were the first priority along with updating an outdated website with new content. Setting the marketing plan included worldwide travel to meet our customer base face to face at various events in addition to continuous correspondence via networking channels.
Social Media for OLG was a means for the company to communicate to each area of business and revenue stream in a unique way as each required different messages. After utilizing various social media channels, Twitter and LinkedIn were the most successful social media platforms for OLG. LinkedIn served as a major avenue to connect with so many international contacts. We could connect with the"right" person on a project immediately and get a Skype conference call set up within 24 hours.
Working to become an expert in fields we served allowed me the opportunity to speak at many conferences domestic and foreign. These instances included topics addressed by the United Nations and businesses that were interested in partnering with NGOs and the United Nations.
Every area of business had promotional materials specific to the customers. Online ads, Guide Books, handouts, giveaways, etc. were all under my creative direction and management. I created our video by choosing each clip separately to match the message and the script I had prepared. Working with our media vendor, we produced the final product to meet strict budgetary requirements.
For eight years, I was Vice President of Marketing and Communications, developing leads and increasing revenues every year for the company via international marketing and communications.
